The Hamilton Island Yacht Club Cantilevering over Hamilton Island Marina and Dent Passage, Hamilton Island Yacht Club will bring a new standard of excellence through its unique spirit and style. With completion due in mid 2009, renowned Australian architect Walter Barda, with a vision for contemporary style and luxury has created a design masterpiece in the Hamilton Island Yacht Club. A stunning pre-weathered green copper roof with a distinctively organic shape is the signature design feature of the Club itself and encases three levels of world-class recreation and business facilities. Features within the Hamilton Island Yacht Club will include a contemporary indoor/outdoor restaurant including private dining room and bar overlooking Hamilton Island Marina. Other features, exclusively for members include a private health club incorporating a marina-front gymnasium, two saunas and a heated 25-metre indoor lap pool. The Hamilton Island Yacht Club will also include two function rooms and a conference auditorium catering for up to 200 delegates, these rooms will be bathed in natural light and delegates will have the added bonus of being able to enjoy refreshments on an expansive balcony overlooking the water and dining in the Hamilton Island Yacht Club’s restaurant. Hamilton Island Executive Chairman Sandy Oatley said the new Hamilton Island Yacht Club will become a flagship for the island. “Its iconic design will be a focal point from the water, land and air and this development is a continuing sign of our commitment to Hamilton Island and to making a resort that caters for everyone,” said Sandy.
