Mice Net : October 2008
gold coast venue story By Johanna Mc Kinnon re-vamPs gold coast: Watch this space because it’s constantly changing. here we give mice.net readers some of the latest news on the venue front. Conrad Jupiters Conrad Jupiters is showing-off a fresh face after a $16 million refurbishment of its hotel and conference space, the Pavilion Room. The transformation included renewing 442 superior rooms with a contemporary design which now features artworks by local artist Jillian Bradley. Additionally, work included installing ambient lighting, high speed broadband, and LCD TVs that are linked to an iPod- compatible data panel. Arguably for guests the bed is the most important feature of any hotel room and to ensure that the right one was chosen, eight different beds were tried by 60 hotel staff who ranked their favourites. As well as the hotel rooms getting a makeover, Conrad Jupiters has spent more that $2 million on a new reception area, business centre and lobby bar. It seems nothing has gone unchanged and the executive reception, executive boardroom, lobby lift area and conference centre have all been revitalised with a new look. The hotel’s conference centre now has new carpet and refreshed entryways and walls. ASK ABOUT OUR BONUS OFFERS!
