western australia Perth Convention Exhibition Centre news To make life easier for event planners organising events in Perth, the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre has launched the Congress Precinct Map. The map is designed to help conference organisers who are planning activities with a clear picture of what Perth can offer. The multi-dimensional map is interactive and shows that just a short walk from the centre guests can shop at the likes of Tiffany & Co., Gucci and Louis Vuitton, or go to a local art gallery. And if food is on your mind, the map also shows outlets where you can sample local produce and wine. The centre is located next to the central business district and provides an array of shopping, entertaining and dining possibilities as a pre- or post conference option. But if you’re more interested in arts than shopping in your free time, check out the Perth Cultural Centre which is home to The Western Australian Art Gallery. This gallery presents Australian and international collections and exhibitions. The WA Museum and State Library is also nearby, and throughout the city there are many independent arts, craft and photography galleries. This is just a sample of the attractions that can be found with assistance from the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre’s interactive map. To try it yourself be sure to go to www.pcec. com.au/map.
