Attracting more than 800 buyers from throughout the Wellington region and further afield, organisers said it was not the largest turnout the expo had seen, however many exhibitors commented the quality of attendees was at an all time high. Results from the attendee survey undertaken corroborated this with more than 88 per cent of participants saying they intended to purchase from an exhibitor within the next 12 months. General manager of the Wellington Convention Centre, Neville Brown, said he was happy with the event and the part the convention centre played in the program. “The expo has continued to grow over the years and I have watched T he capital city showcased its conference and event product to event organisers recently at its eighth annual expo. With almost 100 exhibitors coming together at the TSB Bank it go from strength to strength. The overall opinion from attendees and exhibitors has been that this year’s event has been successful,” he said. “We were impressed with the high calibre of the stands, and the way everyone worked together as a city to create an event which truly showcases what Wellington and neighbouring regions have to offer event organisers.” Robyn Radomski, Director of Conference Works Ltd, the exhibition manager of the expo for the last two years, was excited with the range of information available. “Our experience is that our clients are always looking for something different. This year, the wide range of exhibitors – including 20 new suppliers - meant that there was something for everyone.
