brisbane vEnuE vernacular story By johanna mc kinnon We’ve GoT The latest word on function spaces in brisbane. Cloudland One of the latest additions to Brisbane’s unique function scene, Cloudland offers another world for events. Located on Ann Street in Fortitude Valley, Cloudland features 5000 plants growing over a 14 metre interior wall, 10 metre waterfalls, a solid marble bar and a retractable glass ceiling. These are just some of the things that will have your eyes popping out of your head! The four level venue includes private events spaces where your guests will be able to enjoy first-class service and food. All menus for events are designed by executive chef Michael Muir and the venue can host cocktail-style events for 50 to 1500, and sit-down dinners for 50 to 200. Designed as an ‘urban oasis’, Cloudland was the brainchild of The Katarzyna Group’s managing director Raphael Bickel. The group’s repertoire also includes the Press Club, Family Nightclub, Empire Hotel and Birdie Num Num. For more information go to Cloudland’s impressive website www.cloudland.tv.
