mice.net 41 news The Award for Excellence is part of Certain Software's ongoing educational commitment to students studying Certain Events at colleges and universities running Certain's Rising Star Program. Now in its third year, the Award for Excellence rewards the winner with a $5000 cash prize, and also recognises the top finalists as they graduate from their studies and commence full time employment in the industry. With the slow but steady upturn in the financial markets, 2010 looks to be a promising year for business and the events industry will be no exception to this recovery. The shortage of work-ready personnel, with hands-on experience, will once again become the challenge. With technology an entrenched business process in managing meetings and events, the demand for skilled staff becomes paramount. The Rising Star Program from its inception has aimed to address this issue with its education partners by offering scholarships, event management software and training programs used by more than 50 colleges and universities around the world. For further information on the Rising Star Program, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone +61 7 3457 0900.
