Celtic FC has more than 10 million supporters worldwide and we are expecting a lot of interstate and international visitors to attend the game,” she said. “The team boasts of a number of Scottish internationals plus Socceroos striker Scott McDonald and Japanese cult figure, Shunsuke Nakamura.” This game will be part of the State Government’s “Queensland Roars Against Racism” campaign, which aims to highlight the importance of community integration through sport. July is also State of Origin month at Suncorp Stadium and undoubtedly the fans will be out in full force to support their states. This is always one of the biggest events of the year for the stadium, with tickets selling out in 30 minutes. Just days after the Celetic and State of Origin games, Suncorp Stadium will be hosting an NRL double header. Brisbane Broncos will take on South Sydney Rabbitohs which will be followed by the Canterbury Bulldogs versus the Gold Coast Titans.
